| Introduction | I have worked for some of the leading national and international media organisations in a journalistic career spanning over three decades. I write mainly on Pakistan economy, politics and issues related to terrorism and extremism. Currently, working Bol Media Group as its Editor-in-Chief since Feb. 2021. Earlier, worked for Hum News as its Chief Editor from Feb 15, 2018 to Feb. 2021. Before this, worked for Bol News as its Editor-in-Chief. I also served as the Editor of Pakistan's leading English-language newspaper, The News, and as Director News & Current Affairs of Urdu-language news channel, SAMAA. Worked for monthly magazine Newsline (1996), The Associated Press of America (1998-2002), Reuters (1994-1998) and 2002-2005). I was the Karachi Correspondent of Gulf News (2002-05) and headed the Public Relations Department of Pakistan Petroleum Ltd (2005-07). Received two APNS Awards for best stories on economy and general news in 1997. I was elected secretary of the Karachi Press Club in mid-1990s. I was born in Karachi and studied at the Nasra Secondary School. I did my Masters’ in English Literature from the University of Karachi in 1990. |
