| Introduction | My travels to Alaska began in 1996. As I explored Alaska’s rich landscapes for the first time, my love affair with Alaska and all it has to offer began. Since then, my interest in history, culture, the outdoors, and sharing it with others developed. I am fascinated with glaciers, wildlife and the changes to the environment weather natural or man caused and how it all inter-relates. My quest for knowledge has taken me to the remote Arctic regions of Alaska, most of Alaska’s National Parks including, the Gates of the Arctic National Park, Denali National Park, Wrangel-St. Elias National Park, Katmai National Park, Kenai Fjords National Park and Glacier Bay National Park. I have been guiding journeys throughout Alaska since 1998 and I’ve had the privilege to have met many people from different parts of the world. I was born in Havana Cuba and came to the United States at the young age of 10. My family settled in Atlanta Georgia. Some of my hobbies include hiking, boating and nature photography. I am fluent in Spanish and I am also trained in Wilderness First Aid. |
