Introduction | I am a self taught community interpreter and translator living in the north east of the UK. I was born and grew up in Latvia and moved to the United Kingdom in 2003. I started to work as an interpreter while studied on the Business Management degree in Doncaster University Centre. Interpreting and translating turned from a part time job to a great passion and since 2007 I am teaching professional qualifications for interpreters and translators in Doncaster College. In addition I am working full time for Doncaster Business School and developing qualifications bringing together linguistic aspects of translators with the busness side of the work. I am currently studying on MA Education Innovation and Enterprise and have recently achieved a Post Graduate Certificate in Education. My working languages are Latvian and Russian. |
