Introduction I was a career teacher-librarian, but I've always felt there was something else I should be doing. After a short stint as a classroom teacher, I got into libraries "through the back door". In my first Teacher-Librarian position, I knew I'd found my niche in education, and that's where I spent 35 years. A few years ago, I discovered a real passion for "creating rather than just curating" - and so began my exploration of writing as an actual career; something to carry on when it's time to "hang up my spurs" as a Teacher-Librarian. Five years ago I gave up my day-job and moved my family back to Canada, to both support aging parents, and to have my kids experience life in a free, democratic and, I thought, progressive country. It didn't all work out that way,and teaching devolved to holding a series of part-time jobs to make ends meet, so writing has taken a back seat for the moment, but someday...
Interests Reading, cycling, canoeing, hiking, motorcycle-riding (backroads solo), tinkering with old "stuff" (books, clocks, cars, motorcycles)
