| Favorite movies | Anything by John Waters for outrageous Anything by John Waters for humor's sake. Anything by David Lean for sentimentality. Anything by Ingmar Bergman and all that artsy-fartsy stuff such as Fassbinder. |
| Favorite music | "A Day in The Life" and "The Low Spark of High Heeled Boys" and "Jet Boy Jet Girl" and Merle Haggard, George Jones, Bob Seger, Neil Young, Stones, John Mellencamp, lots of stuff; but maybe most of all David Bowie. |
| Favorite books | Marcel Proust's "In Search of Lost Time" and Violette Leduc and Jean Genet and V S Naipaul and Amos Oz, and just recently read a really great book called 'The Kindly Ones" by Jonathan Littell, nearly 1000 pages of reading bliss. |
