| Introduction | I love beautiful things – a pair of vintage earrings, a gorgeous home or a good old fashioned birthday party. They inspire me and make me feel good to be alive and kicking! I also love to write. So I thought, why not combine the two and write about some of the most special moments there can be – a child’s birthday party. Not for any reason other than the pleasure it gives me – and may give others who read it. I also make children’s quilts under the Fatcat (highlight) label and run a boutique from the same workshop, where we tailor women’s clothes on order. My work here, gives me a chance to interact with so many lovely ladies, whilst it keeps me in touch with what’s really important – fashion! Books, endless cups of tea, my kids and quiet walks in the park (in no particular order), are other things that complete me. Writing a book, playing a sport seriously and travelling the world, are some of my dreams for the future. Starting this blog was also one of them. So here’s to new beginnings and happy endings.
