Favorite books	Where do I start? I've just done a 'desert island' list of the top five for a fellow blogger and here it is: Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens, I've read this every Christmas Eve for the last 30 years and it still makes me glow; Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings, a world major work of brilliance; Brewer's Dictionary of Phrase and Fable, essential reading for the curious about our language; In Search of Shakespeare by Michael Wood, a brilliant historian talking about a brilliant historical figure in interesting times; The Power of NOW by Eckhart Tolle, a great way to live your life.
