Introduction	As my moniker suggests, I'm a fan of ultra-multievent athletics, among other things. The reason is simple - if you average mediocrity over 14 to 20 track and field performances, you can stand up passably to outstanding athletes who can only excel in one discipline and fall apart in all the others. Plus, it's one of the friendliest sports I know.
