About me

GenderFemale
OccupationEnjoying being at home - for now!
LocationRossendale, Lancashire, United Kingdom
IntroductionI like spontaneity. I like going out with a big mug of tea to listen to the dawn chorus. I love the long summer evenings when I can walk the dog at 11 o'clock at night. A good friend is worth their weight in gold - and I'm rich. When my children are happy, I'm happy. I get excited EVERY year watching the frogs in the pond(!) It's the little things that count.
InterestsAnything involving the family, Taking our 2 year old Smooth Collie (Jack) for country walks, Landscape photography (Irwell Vale Photography Club), Close-up (macro) photography of insects (fantastic detail you've never seen before!), Lancashire Badger Group, Fly-fishing (but spend most of my time casting instead of catching!), gardening, family history, wildlife, Conservation - I take water samples for the Ribble Catchment Conservation Trust and check the invertebrate life in them - this gives a good assessment of the water quality/pollution.
Favorite moviesThe Odd Couple (original version). Still makes me laugh every time I watch it, John Wayne movies, Way Down South (one of the best Laurel & Hardy films), Disney Films that my kids have grown up with... Robin Hood, Shrek, and a host of others,
Favorite musicAll sorts! All types!
Favorite booksLast books re-read: Jane Eyre, A Town Like Alice, Also read The Curious Incident of The Dog in the Night-time. Wonderful! The story is about a teenage boy with Autism and it explains brilliantly how he sees the world and feels. I hope it's on every school's reading list.
