IntroductionI consider myself to be a multi-hyphenate. Wife. Mother. Teacher. Writer. Some days I'm more of one than the others, but there are no other roles I'd rather play. Check out my about.me profile!
InterestsMy husband, my son, my family & friends. And everything else when I have time!
Favorite moviesWhen I do have time to sit and watch a movie, I'm such a "chick". I fall for Rom-Coms like an addict. But my real love is horror movies. Odd combo, right?
Favorite musicPretty much everything. Though I've never been into classical music all that much. On most days you'll find me listening to some sort of indie-alternative rock.
Favorite booksAs an English teacher I obviously love to read! Some of my favorite authors include (in no particular order): Anne Rice, Kurt Vonnnegut, Steve Berry, Khalil Gibran, Walt Whitman, Richard Wright, Toni Morrison, Emily Dickinson, Stephanie Meyer, Salman Rushdie, Samuel Beckett, Paulo Coelho, Frank McCourt, Franz Kafka, the Bronte Sisters, all things Shakespeare, Oscar Wilde Some of the many books I've read and loved include The Templar Legacy and the Cotton Malone series (Steve Berry) The Prophet (Khalil Gibran) Native Son and Black Boy (Richard Wright) Their Eyes Were Watching God (Zora Neale Hurston) The Twilight series (Stephanie Meyer) Memnoch the Devil and the Vampire Chronicles, etc. (Anne Rice) Power of One (Bryce Courtenay) The Devil's Arithmetic (Jane Yolen) The Five People You Meet in Heaven (Mitch Albom) Waiting for Godot (Samuel Beckett) Catch-22 (Joseph Heller) The Metamorphosis (Franz Kafka) Life of Pi (Yann Martel) Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead (Tom Stoppard) Candide (Voltaire) The Importance of Being Earnest and The Picture of Dorian Gray (Oscar Wilde) Breakfast of Champions and Cat's Cradle -and others (Kurt Vonnegut) The Alechemist (Paulo Coelho) The Strain (Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan) The Glass Castle (Jeannette Walls) Of course there are lots and lots more to this list but these are the nearest and dearest to me.
