| Introduction | I am a stay at home mum to three lovely daughters and one Husband, Scott. We are living as expats in Switzerland. These are certainly big influences to my life but why I began this blog is because I love all things sewy. Leaving the workforce to become a Mum gave me the time and inclination to find a hobby, my Great Aunt Joyce inspired me to try needle work. She was an amazing embroiderer, but having dabbled in this as a kid with my Grandma I knew it was to slow going for me. I needed something that gave me gratification much more quickly and was more useful not just pretty, so i tried quilting. With only a pair of scissors, needle, fabric and thread I made my first quilt and fell in love with fabric and all things sewy! I still sew quilts, mostly with a machine these days. I also love to sew for my daughters, actually I love to sew anything, even Fumberlants. |
