Introduction	Giovanni Giaconi is pleased to present Vincenzo Scamozzi (1548-1616) a book with entirely unpublished images of one of the most famous architect of Venetian history. The book will give the reader a unique and intimate access to the life and work of Scamozzi and a rare view to this new collection of 32 watercolors by Giaconi. The fourth centenary of the death of Vincenzo Scamozzi takes place in 2016. He was born in Vicenza on 2 September 1548 and died in Venice on 7 August 1616, an extraordinary and complex figure and a vastly erudite architect and theorist. On the occasion of this important anniversary, Giovanni Giaconi wanted to pay tribute to him, helping in his way to celebrate his memory with an impassioned and scrupulous graphic dossier that reproduces all the extant works designed by him or attributed to him.
