| Introduction | Lauren Warnecke, M.S. (Creator of Art Intercepts) is a Chicago-based dance educator and administrator. She is currently the Performing Arts Coordinator at the Menomonee Club for Boys and Girls. Lauren has been in and around the arts her whole life, and has more than ten years of experience in dance education. She trained at Barat College Conservatory of Dance and holds a BA in Dance Performance and Choreography from Columbia College Chicago and an MS in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She has been a guest performer for the North Shore School of Dance and spent a brief time as an apprentice for Luna Negra Dance Theatre. Lauren has an extensive teaching resume in ballet, creative movement, musical theatre and modern dance ranging from tots to seniors. Lauren is currently seeking a teacher's certification through the Cecchetti Council of America and remains active in the arts community as a collaborating artist for Synapse Arts Collective, where she is also a grant writer and serves on the Board of Directors. In her leisure time, Lauren loves to go hiking, knit and bake scones. |
