Introduction A New England native, Rev. Norman Aabye has been in pastoral ministry and missionary work for the past 35 years. In 2006, Pastor Aabye and his wife, Priscilla, began C.A.R.E. Ministries, a missionary outreach to the nursing homes of northwest Pennsylvania and northeast Ohio. The Aabyes bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the elderly in assisted living, skilled nursing, and Alzheimer care facilities throughout the region. In addition to the nursing home ministry, Rev. Aabye pastors the Open Door Baptist Church in rural northwest PA, a position he has held since 2012. Prior to moving to Pennsylvania, he was the founding pastor of the River Valley Baptist Church in Ansonia, Connecticut which he planted in 1987 and pastored for 18 years. As an educator, Rev. Aabye also served on the faculty of the New England School of the Bible in Southington, CT, where he taught in the Bible department for many years. In his spare time he likes to watch old Western movies and is working on a children's adventure book series.
