Introduction With a B.S. and M.S. in Music Education and a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology, including a unique background as a Paramedic in college and graduate school, I find myself once again reinventing my life. After twelve years in music education and nineteen years as a counselor, 5 years as Assistant Director of an out patient mental health counseling agency, founding Director of a non-profit Christian full service out-patient mental health counseling center for 14 years, I've also served as Director of Music and organist in many churches throughout New England and served as guest organist and soloist in too many places to list. Along the way, I've had a short (5 years) career as a movie reviewer and a 13 year run as a newspaper writer of a column on personal growth, positive motivation and conflict resolution. Additionally I've been a long time motivational speaker and presenter for conferences and retreats. I've sung on two jazz albums, I am a member of the American Guild of Organists and have sung with a long established small madrigal group. I also have a professional profile on LinkedIn.
Interests Music (singing it, playing it and listening), Counseling, jewelry making, painting, stained glass, cats, dogs, reading, movies, technology, editing, and writing. I also love the outdoors (especially when there are no mosquitoes). Being in the woods and the mountains both soothes my spirit and energizes me. The ocean inspires me and keeps me grounded. I enjoy a balance of both times of solitude and a happy social life with friends.
Favorite Movies Wow...too many to list, different genres. But here are just two of my favorites: "Leap of Faith" with Steve Martin, and "The Apostle" with Robert Duval.
Favorite Music Very eclectic. Love classical music, good jazz, motown, soul and gospel, and classic rock. And there is just so much more...
Favorite Books Again...different genres and will have to give this more focus for a well thought out response.

If you could peer far enough into the night sky, you'd see a star in any direction you looked. When would you sleep?

Can I say how odd I think these "random questions" are? Quizzical yes, but definitely ODD. Here's a better one: If you knew you only had one year to live, what would you do tomorrow? Who would you call and say you love them and wish them well? Well, what are you waiting for?
