IntroductionI am proud and privelaged to be a special education teacher. My students are the bravest and most honest people I know. Prior to teaching in Minnesota (which I've called home for 5 years), I taught in Texas for 3. Talk about climate change shock! But the move was so worth it and eventually I learned to love long underwear and heated mattress pads..........and SUMMER!! I am currently working on a Master's in Special Education with a concentration in autism. My special interests include community based instruction, community partnerships for people with disabilities, teaching play to children with autism and assistive technology.
