Introduction | I was born in Western Pennsylvania and soon began a gypsy life, moving 23 times around 5 states, before graduating from The Pennsylvania State University with a lucrative degree in Philosophy. I rode the dot com boom in IT; designing Web sites, teaching, programming and consulting. Seeking refuge from the ruins of the dot com bust, I spent 7 years marketing for the real estate industry. Seeking refuge from the ruins of the real estate industry, I joined Penn State University (which I prognosticated ruin). Also, for the last 15 years, I have been publishing mudcat.org, a knowledge database and thriving global online community of music professionals, historians and enthusiasts dedicated to the preservation and appreciation of Traditional Music. I am actively a Philosopher (NothingToShowForIt.com), Musician (kazoorepair.com), Ethnomusicologist (mudcat.org), Marketing Strategist (currently for hire) and Public Radio Host (wpsu.org/blues). I also produce scores and soundtracks for Alpaca Pictures who last year completed a full length feature film 99% Sure (bit.ly/99PercentSure). |
