| Introduction | I'm Elaine G and am the great great granddaughter of Anna Maria Ratermann Woltering. I've always been intrigued by the family lore surrounding their journey to the United States and ultimately Clinton-Madison Counties in Illinois. I got involved in genealogy in high school when my mother decided we should get a family tree started for my father. This interest has simmered over the years in fits and starts and now that I no longer report for work 40 hours a week, I can indulge this hobby.
