Introduction I retired five years ago from teaching in Saginaw, Michigan. I left Michigan in search of a slower-paced life. I left behind three wonderful sons, two more wonderful stepchildren, 12 (to date) awesome grandchildren, and my kids' spouses. I left a sister and brother...both with large families and a handful of friends. I go back once or twice a year to visit...but it's never enough. However, Mexico calls and I can not stay away. I live in a small Mayan village with Antelmo, who was born and raised in the mountains of Chiapas. We have two dogs, three bunnies, eight chickens, and hundreds of plants. At present we have newly purchased land that Antelmo is clearing in hopes of building our own home. I'm a happy camper and live a relatively stress-free life. I have never felt better and if I could afford to fly my family down every other month for a visit...I'd have a perfect life.
Interests nature, reading, cooking, writing, playing cards
Favorite Movies Oh, I'll watch whatever is on if it's drama, comedy, documentary or the like. Don't care for cartoons...even full length features. I don't care what a drawing feels or does.
Favorite Music I like just about all music. Not particularly fond of country or the nasty rap. I don't really even know what is current.
Favorite Books I read by author: Patterson, Ivanovich, Cornwell, Grisham, Koontz, Rule, and lots I can't think of right now.

If you were a pirate, how would you avoid laughing when saying 'poop deck'?

If I were a pirate, I would still laugh at poop deck until it became old hat. Can't think of a reason not to laugh.
