| Introduction | I am a wife and mother of 3 energetic and hilarious children. Our family loves to laugh, especially at ourselves. I am passionate about social justice, human rights,history, and how that all relates to Africa. I am a survivor of a rare form of soft-tissue cancer, diagnosed in late 2008. Since then I have been cancer free and welcomed my miracle baby Raphael in September of 2011. I am currently working on 2 books, a memoir of my journey with cancer as a young mom, and a narrative non-fiction work telling the stories of Liberians who grew up through the civil war in their country and are now working to rebuild their homeland. |
