| Introduction | Hello Mr. Hsiao's English 52 class :) My name is Ashley Herrera. I am what you call a 'newbie' to the class and I am excited to be here and be a part of this family environment you guys have created. I recently graduated from high school in June, and started at Cerritos College for the spring semester. I am planning to major in Biology and will try to acquire a minor in Psychology. My career goal is to be a cardiologist and help people with any illnesses or problems found in the heart. I love spending time with my friends and family but I also like giving to the community. I currently volunteer at Unsworth Elementary; but before that I would volunteer at Edmund D. Edelman Children's Court and last summer I volunteered at Downey High School as an athletic trainer in sports therapy. Which means I am actually excited to attend these Saturday field trips with this class. Another thing about me is that I love to travel, whether its 30 minutes away or hours away, I like to get to visit different places. Living life day by day is what i try to do. :) |

| Favorite Movies | Some of my favorite movies are: Grease, The Outsiders, Titanic, Troy, The Ballad of Jack and Rose, There Will Be Blood, Star Wars (great story), The Pianist, The Notebook, A Walk to Remember, Remember the Titans, and so many more that I cant keep track! |
| Favorite Music | I try to have a wide span of music genres from rap to country, metal to hip hop, oldies to new hits, and jazz to foreign music. I try to have a variety :) |
| Favorite Books | Favorite books... hmmm.. A few are: The Notebook, Dear John, many Charles Buckowski books, The Outsiders, Into the Wild, Left Hand of Darkness, Frankenstein, Pride and Prejudice, The Time Traveler's Wife, East of Eden, Sex Drugs and Cocoa Puffs, Night, A child called It, many Pablo Neruda books, and my favorite of all time The Alchemist! |
