About me

GenderFemale
OccupationLicensed Professional Counselor & World Traveler
LocationOkinawa, Japan
IntroductionI am adventureous when it comes to everything except food that looks back at me, fat, gristle, and anything easily identifiable as an animal part(such as the favorite here on Okinawa - pig's feet). I am pro-carb and I love to eat, which means that in order to stay in shape (and I don't mean the shape of a circle!), I have to dedicate an hour a day 5 to 6 times a week to working out. No, I don't love working out - but I do love how it makes me feel when I'm done (and that I don't feel nearly as guilty when I'm chowing down my favorite carbs)! I absolutely crave tropical warm weather (which works out quite well, since I'm now living on a sub-tropical island) and avoid cold weather like the plague. That's not completely true... I will make an exception every now and then in order to go snowboarding. I have been lucky enough to travel around the world and have seen so many amazing places! In order to keep my "world traveler" status active I will continue traveling until the day my feet fall off (then I'll just convince someone who is strong and patient with a good sense of direction to carry me around the world)!
InterestsTravel, writing, and general silliness
Favorite moviesAmelie, What Dreams May Come, City of Angels, Lost in Translation, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Groundhog Day, Breakfast at Tiffany's
Favorite musicEverything from Hip Hop to the Blues to some seriously mellow Michael Bubble
Favorite booksAlmost anything by Stephen King and Dean Koontz. Crime novels with lots of suspense. Self help books (including those by the Tony Robbins, the man who somehow got me to walk across burning coals and Jack Canfield who has me super moto and mega inspired) seem to find their way onto my bookshelf quite frequently.
