| Introduction | Gil and Sharon live on Kauai, the North shore of the Universe. Gil paddles with an outrigger club and competes locally and internationally and Sharon paddles for fun. We both enjoy snorkeling. Gil was a tour guide at a local botanical garden and Sharon volunteers with Fish and Wildlife and Kauai Native Plant Society and has done more than 100 fish surveys for reef.org. Gil is an artist and craftsman - paintings on canvas, frescoes, fishhook carvings and more. Sharon enjoys photography and has written a book on beloved Hawaii (unpublished as yet). We have family in Washington, Oregon, California, Utah, Colorado, and Switzerland, including our two boys who live busily with their wives, children and pets. |
| Interests | Travel and Earth Stewardship This is a way of life that is mindful of nature, plants and animals. Discovering and observation of native species has been an opportunity for us on Kauai. Conserving fuel and water in our home, reducing waste with a compost, recycling, and repairing items for re-use to avoid the landfill where possible are our goals. |
