Introduction In April of 2008 I celebrated my third year as a survivor of brain cancer. I have written a lot of poetry and prose during this time. Since the beginning of 2008 have developed a workshop called Healing Through Creativity. I have done workshops at UCLA, the Redondo Beach, CA Wellness Community and at The Center in Long Beach, Ca. In 2007 I read my poetry in Dallas, Tx at the Symposium for Neuro Oncology. In May of 2008 I went to Washington, DC to lobby congress on behalf of the North American Brain Tumor Coalition. I participated in the Cassidy and Pinkard 5k Race For Hope on Alan's Apex Summit Team. We raised over $87,000.00 for brain cancer research. My chapbook, Lemonade - Notes to Cancer is available at City Lights Bookstore in San Francisco, CA, in the Agape Quiet Mind Bookstore in Culver City, CA and online. I enjoy sharing my poetry and what I have learned about maintaining positive focus and living in the present with cancer survivors, their support people and at a variety of corporate events and in educational and spiritual venues. I have been blessed with the love of a wonderful family and friends. I am very grateful to be alive.
