| Introduction | My name is Dusty Solomon and I am currently assigned as the School Resource Officer for Robert Stuart Middle School. In 1998 I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho. I graduated Summa Cum Laude with President’s Honors and accompanied this degree with a Math and Spanish Minor. I presently hold a valid teaching certificate with the Idaho State Board of Education. Following my college graduation I moved to the United Kingdom where I held the position of Project Director for a Welsh-based charity. I was involved in seven secondary schools and regularly in contact with nearly 7,000 students. In August 2007 I joined the Twin Falls Police Department as a Patrol Officer and graduated from the Idaho POST Academy. I currently hold an Intermediate Certificate. Prior to my assignment to the Juvenile Crimes Unit in April 2011, I held the position of field training officer and was involved in training new recruits. I am also a Negotiator for our Crisis Negotiations Unit and hold a certification with the International Association of Hostage Negotiators. When I am not working, I enjoy pursuing my passion for training “man’s best friend”. |
