| Introduction | Now that I am retired from teaching and not tied to a clock or mounds of papers to grade, I am as changeable as the weather. I like to read. I like to write. I like to play with my dogs. But sometimes I ride my bike, and sometimes I take my kayak out on the lake. More often, I sit by the fire (winter is my favorite season) and read. Summers here are hard on me (ugh, humidity!) so I like to escape to San Diego. We have lived in Missouri for three years now after a lifetime in California. The rural life is quiet, which is fine with me. I am married to a wonderful man who loves to cook, Patrick Granfors. We have 3 dogs. |

What's the most amount of sand you've ever had in your swimming trunks?
Probably two pounds in my tank suit after a very choppy high tide.
