| Introduction | I'm a literary agent with the Bent Agency, specialising in children's fiction. My first part-time job surrounded me with books and I've never looked back. I've been a library page, a bookseller, a children's book editor, a developer of social media for teens, and the national program director for the Children's Book Council in New York. I joined the Bent Agency in 2011 to represent middlegrade and YA fiction in the U.S. and the U.K. I love a story that's inventive, well-crafted, and full of emotion. I like fantasy and sf, but contemporary and historical novels strike just as big a chord for me. Among my weaknesses: magical realism, heartstopping romance, and time travel.
