| Introduction | After teaching in Primary Schools in the West Midlands for many years I decided to volunteer with VSO. As an ICT Teacher Trainer I worked throughout Tanzania training tutors and teacher trainees. Although there are difficulties such as lack of clean water, electricity cuts, language and cultural variance, I enjoyed it so much that my 2 year placement extended to 3 years. Friendly people, sunshine, monkeys and butterflies were just some of the attractions that added to the job satisfaction. Now, following 14 months back in England, I am eager to travel again to yet another continent, this time Asia. I hope that friends old and new will enjoy reading about my experiences. |
