| Introduction | I am sick. I didn't find out I was sick until about a year ago. The name of my disease is Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, and it's very rare and genetic. I spend most of my time alternating between suffering from the symptoms and studying the disease to try to figure out how to stop the suffering. I never wanted to be a sick person, but here I am. I'm also a writer. I used to be a reporter for The San Antonio-Express News in San Antonio, Texas but had to quit because of my illness. These days I write anything for money, but I have some projects I'd like to start in on, and I hope to keep you guys clued in on them as they get closer to being done, which could take a year, or multiple years, depending on how my illness progresses! |
| Interests | I love to read, and I absolutely love to sing at the top of my lungs in places where no one can hear me. |
| Favorite movies | My all-time favorite movie is Back to the Future Part II. A VERY close runner up is Office Space. Third place is claimed by Idiocracy. |
| Favorite music | I listen to very little new music because I'm a talk radio freak. Howard Stern is my all-time favorite. |
| Favorite books | Jimmy Buffett and Kinky Friedmanare my favorite authors, but they rarely come out with anything new. J.D. Robb (Otherwise known as Nora Roberts, blech, I hate romance novels) writes a mystery series set in the future that I absolutely love. They feature a tough bitch cop who marries the richest guy on the planet. I want to be her when I grow up. Or Dolly Parton. Either one will do. |
You've written a hit musical! How will you avoid having fame go to your head?
I would totally let fame go to my head. Why not? It would be fantastic.
