Introduction	Dora Giannaki is a political scientist and youth expert. She has worked, as Special Advisor, at the Greek General Secretariat for Youth and, as Research Associate, at the National Accreditation Centre for Continuing Vocational Training. Dora has been a correspondent for Greece at the European Knowledge Centre for Youth Policy for two years and has taken part in a variety of European research projects on youth. She is co-author of ‘The Socio-economic Scope of Youth Work in Europe’ (2007), a study commissioned by the Youth Partnership between the European Commission and the Council of Europe. Her research interests include social history of youth, European youth policies, social democracy and education & lifelong learning policies. Since October 2009, Dora is working as Research Associate at the Hellenic Parliament.
