| Introduction | I've been singing and playing guitar for most of my life and have been performing professionally since I was 18. I have been vocalist/guitarist for the Rusty Wright Band since 2004. I was also a newspaper and magazine writer and managed to juggle dual careers for many years. Truth be told, since I was 15 I have consistently juggled 2-3 jobs and expect that will not change until I am physically incapable of continuing. I enjoy the company of good friends but have come to prefer online communication over talking on the phone. I love to travel but usually stay close to home when we're not out on tour somewhere. I don't like to overindulge, but do enjoy an occasional top shelf beverage. I have a fondness for good music gear, electronic gadgets, expensive bedding and gaudy jewelry but I am not overly attached to "stuff." |
| Interests | Most genres of music - Blues, blues rock, I appreciate really good singer-songwriters, love Celtic and renaissance-flavored music... Loreena McKennitt is a favorite; I am a medieval/renaissance history enthusiast, and an NPR fanatic. I rarely turn on the television but when I do I enjoy of cooking and travel shows - Alton Brown, Paula Deen and No Reservations in particular. I have also been known to waste entire days watching home decorating shows on HGTV, which is why I try to avoid turning the TV on to begin with. Books and the Internet are my addictions of choice. |
| Favorite movies | LOTR trilogy, most historical/period flicks, Under the Tuscan Sun, Eddie & the Cruisers, The Commitments... and so many more that simply aren't coming to mind at the moment. I despise horror flicks and violent stuff. |
| Favorite music | Oh... there aren't enough hours in the day to complete this list. Let me just narrow it by saying I'm not into rap or top 40 dance stuff, death metal makes me laugh, most jazz bores me and my attention span is too short for classical and opera although I can certainly appreciate the exceptional musicianship. |
| Favorite books | I'm a book junkie who is usually reading 5-6 books at any one time. I will read the ingredients list off a cereal box if I can't get my hands on anything else. |
