| Introduction | I am a newly retired librarian. I really loved my job, and can't imagine what the next year will be like without the constant challenge and fun of meeting and helping loads and loads of people with all the good things public libraries have to offer. A retired guy that I know says that "Retiring is hell but retirement is heaven" and in the interest of getting from hell to the other place, I have resolved to work at identifying ONE GOOD THING about retirement every day for the next year. (Seniors' Day at Shoppers Drug Mart will not necessarily make the cut.) If others read this and want to offer suggestions that would be great, but this list really is for me. If I make the list public, I am more likely to focus on the good things. That is the theory, at any rate. |
