| Introduction | This is my 42nd year of law practice -- still going strong, loving every minute. Most of my global law work has focused on international finance, admiralty, aviation, and environmental law. Working with international legal issues involving financial fraud, treaties, cross-border disputes, and environmental cases is my continuing, life-long passion. I work integrally, as special counsel, with several law firms in the United States. My office is based in Panama but I travel extensively, working on international cross-border disputes, many of them now involving financial fraud cases in Latin America. I and my US law firm associates www.burgsimpson.com and www.bcoonlaw.com are now working on the Madoff, Stanford, and sub-prime scandals. We will be visiting major Madoff investor's firms, initially in Mexico, Panama and Peru, starting in May, 2009. Madoff's bankruptcy deadline (July 2, 2009), for filing investor's claims, approaches rapidly. Therefore we hope to meet with as many investors as possible to help them file their claims before the July 2nd deadline. |
