| Introduction | I'm a breast cancer survivor, a high school English teacher, and most importantly, a mom who hopes to see a cure for cancer in her lifetime. I try to help raise awareness for this horrible disease. I was only 41 years old when my life was almost destroyed by it. I had no family history and no risk factors. Life is too short as it is to be taken for granted. If you know anyone who is diagnosed with cancer, let them know that there is hope and if they need a friend, I'm here. I hope I can help others fight and have hope. For those who know me personally, please note, since a blog is public, , I am not using my real name or my son's name on the blog. I am still in the learning process of blogging, but in following the advice of a couple of successful bloggers, I know it is important to keep my personal information private.
