Introduction	Welcome readers, my blog is titled "A New Look Into My American Government" because I am simply exploring the U.S. government through current articles and other blogger's editorials. I was raised in a Catholic conservative family with a racist undertone. I advocated conservative beliefs until the age of nineteen when I started opening my ears and eyes to what others I had previously opposed, had to say. Since then I haven't sided with any political party, instead choosing to support specific people who genuinely want to see the United States succeed. With that said, I have lost faith in politics and the American government. I do not have any experience with politics other than watching presidential speeches when they interrupt usual programming. Shamefully, I have never voted or researched presidential candidates. I know as much about politics as I do about blogging. This is my first attempt at a blog. This government course is required for me to earn my bachelor's in biology which is why I am taking it; also, I expect to learn more about how my government may or may not serve the interest of the United States through this blog.
