| Introduction | Tulu Icözü was born in Istanbul in 1978. She won a place in Mimar Sinan University State Conservatory’s (MSUSC) violin department in 1988, and graduated in 2001. Her education at the MSUSC included 7 years of singing training as mezzo-soprano under Professor Mesut Iktu, with whom she later did graduate work in lied commentary and style knowledge. Between 1999-2004, she performed in the Istanbul State Opera and Ballet’s productions. In 2003-2004 she became a part-time student majoring in Opera under Dénes Gulyás in the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music and gained full-time status in 2005. Between 2005-2007 she followed her studies as a full-time student under the guidance of Mr. Dénes Gulyás in the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music. She has participated Workshops of Gulyás Dénes, Magda Nádor, Keönch Boldizsár, Krisztina Laki and Nicholas Clapton. |
