| Introduction | My name is Nik Rumzi Nik Idris, a lecturer at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). I am attached to the Energy Conversion Department (http://encon.fke.utm.my). My main research interest is on the AC motor control and drives. I obtained my PhD from UTM in 2001 which basically dealt with the control of induction machine utilizing direct torque control (DTC) technique. The main objective of this blog is to provide a platform for the students who are enrolled to MEP 1522 to get the latest information related to the course and the field of electrical drives. However those who are not enrolled to the course are also welcome and feel free to give comments. |
