| Introduction | Stephen Dillard-Carroll was born, raised, and currently resides in the Midwest. If you think the Midwest is no place for cutting edge dance music, you'd be wrong. "What people don't realize is there is a HUGE dance underground scene here in the Midwest." he says. "It doesn't get a lot of play on the radio or in the press because for dance music - outside of the lone exception of Chicago - we've been told to look to the East or West coast." That's about to change with "Introducing… ME". "The time is right with the explosion of the Midwest rap scene for people to take notice that besides rap music the Midwest has far more to offer than rock or country music," he says. "There are people out there doing big things in the Midwest and I want to take it to the next level." OYOS Records is an indie dance label started by Stephen Dillard-Carroll as an outlet to give the indie dance artist a voice and a dance floor. This blog is a light-hearted attempt at humor. |
