Introduction New England Bites was created in 2007 by mother-daughter team Laura and Diane of Fall River, Massachusetts. After years of dining out together, they decided to start their own restaurant review Web page that features some of the best places to eat in Southeastern Massachusetts, Rhode Island and beyond. Laura is the author of Mariah Makes a Friend, a children's book based on the feral cats at the Habitat for Cats sanctuary where she volunteered. She is currently employed with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and has about a decade of experience working in print media. Diane, now retired, was a longtime employee of several popular retail stores including Virginia Dare Dresses and Louise's Bridal. A stay-at-home mom for many years, she was the moderator of the SouthCoastToday.com online forum. She is also a supporter of the Habitat for Cats organization.
