| Introduction | When my husband was on his mission and having a particularly terrible day getting rejected while knocking on people's doors in the rain (or scorching AZ heat for that matter) he had a companion that would turn to him and say, "We're living the dream Elder!" At first it suprised Mark, but on further introspection he realized that it was true. Now, Mark and I often say that to each other, especially when the moments are very difficult or very sweet. And thus, the name of our family blog/journal was born. It is a reminder to us that this is exactly what we signed up for--the exquistely bitter, as well as the exquistely sweet. And the hope that what happened on our missions will happen in our home...somehow, in the end, even the hard parts can bring you joy. |
