Introduction Professional engineer, architect, artist, writer. Invented acceleration-sled reported by Warner Pathe Universal News as Northrop Aircraft’s Giant Sling-Shot, and featured in Life Magazine article, Missile Man’s Magic. Interviewed on Art Baker’s TV program, You Asked for it. Designed and built Hollywood home presented in Los Angeles Times ‘Home Magazine.’ Wrote NASA’s Space Shuttle Inertial-Upper-Stage (IUS) contract. Wrote over forty missile-system proposals, and answered over five-hundred letters to DOE, from the public, concerning energy conservation. Received DOE commendation for efforts on their behalf. Flew thirty-five combat missions with the Eighth Air Force during World War II as a tail gunner. First mission, D-day. Last mission, Christmas eve, 1944. Shot-down on sixth-mission. Crashed in Juno-sector of the Normandy beachhead. Reported missing-in-action in hometown newspaper. Struck by flak on tenth-mission over Munich, Germany. Decorated seven-times for valor, and exhibiting exceptional skill and coolness while under enemy fire.
