| Introduction | Hi my name is Julie. I live in Melbourne Australia. My mum was a dressmaker and taught me to sew when I was about 10 years old. I love sewing but over the years due to lack of time I haven't done as much as I would have liked. This year I have set myself a goal to create a stylish,coordinated wardrobe using only the material I have in my stash. For me sewing is the only way I will get clothes that will fit me properly in the styles that I like to wear. I prefer to sew using good quality natural fibres. I figure if I am going to spend hours making a garment I want it to look good and wear well. I am hoping this blog will keep me accountable and motivated to achieve my goal for 2011. |
