| Introduction | Laura Nikaido is an accessories company founded and run by Paris-born, Brooklyn-based Laura Nikaido. After spending most of her life designing and making clothes and accessories for other people, among them Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia and the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, Laura Nikaido decided it was time to branch out on her own. Growing up in Paris, France, then in New York City, Laura was immersed in the hustle and bustle of big cities, where women wearing haute couture is a norm, but anything handmade is not. It is this love of old-world artisan skills and the different combinations of texture and color that drives her passion. A FIT graduate in Accessories Design, Laura Nikaido designs and hand-makes every piece. All products are original and made in the U.S.A.
