| Interests | Hands Across the Sea runs an orphanage that currently has 15 children in full-time care, in additional to providing support to numerous needy children and their families in order to maintain the family unit as much as possible. Hands Across the Sea also has a school from Preschool to Grade 9 serving 230 children, many of whom are sponsored through individual sponsors in Canada and the United States. The children receive a high-nutrition drink and a hot lunch every school. Finally, HATS-Haiti provides ongoing support to community members through their mercy ministry, which offers financial aid for families in great need, nutritional support, clothing distribution and help to cover medical costs at the nearby hospital. |
