| Introduction | I am a semi-retired licensed counselor at the Hometown Pastoral Counseling Group and a pastor of Family of Hope Mennonite House Church. I was born in Nowata County, Oklahoma, but grew up in the Shenandoah Valley after my parents and my seven older siblings and I moved to Augusta County from Kansas. I have been married to Alma Jean (Wert) since 1964, and together we taught at Eastern Mennonite High School. I also served as pastor of the Zion Mennonite Church near Broadway while continuing to teach part time. We have three grown children and six grandchildren. |
