You've got to make contact with the alien leader. How will you tell when the conversation is finished?
Goodness, I haven't ever conversed with aliens before, nor do I expect to. Heaven help me if it ever happens. But if it should-- I'd ask the alien leader,"Say, what's your custom for showing you are done with a conversation?" Provided, of course, the alien leader isn't someone who ends--or starts-- a conversation by gobbling me up.
