| Introduction | Since the age of 6 weeks Matt has lived in the Northern Territory, spending his first 16 years been raised in Katherine before moving to Darwin which he now uses as his base. Starting of swimming, he moved over to triathlons at the age of 7 before deciding to actively pursue cycling at the age of 16. Making his first Australian team at 17, he quickly rose through the cycling ranks to be selected in the Australian Institute of Sport cycling team at 19. For 2009 he will be residing in Pavilly, France while Racing for Sainte-Austreberthe Pavilly Barentin |
