Introduction I’m a proud and happy grandmother of two from the Philippines. Born and raised in Batangas by parents from Nueva Ecija, I graduated from the Cabanatuan West Elementary School, Nueva Ecija High School, and Araullo University. A part-time graduate student, I earned my Ph.D. in Literature from the University of Santo Tomas, Manila in 1991. I wrote three editions of "Spoken English for Filipinos" published by REX Book Store. In 2000, I went to Taiwan and taught at Da-Yeh University. I had a wonderful time interacting with students who were eager to learn English. Then I had a short stint as a language specialist at the SEAMEO Regional Language Centre, Singapore. Today, I'm a Visiting Fellow at the National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
