| Introduction | It's so exciting to introduce myself to you through a new format. I'm a California native, and I've lived in Aptos for 28 years. My husband Bill and I have 2 children, Reiley and Andy. As a family, we enjoy travel and food. We went to Chile as a family in 2008, and my husband and I visited France in 2014. Before I became a teacher at Rio del Mar, I was a parent volunteer, always eager to participate in my kids' K-6 experience at our great school. When they were in 4th and 6th grade, I became a teacher's aide, and enjoyed 5 amazing years with our 1st grade team. After that, I returned to school for my credential and took on the sometimes daunting, but always thrilling task of classroom teacher. I come to this year ready to learn and grow with the students. We teachers are fortunate to be in a profession that provides the opportunity to renew ourselves yearly, each year beginning a journey with our students with the "clean slate" of a new school year! |
