Introduction	author of fanfare (revolution, 2011). working hard to champion the causes of independent booksellers and the global domination of epublishing. personal weapon of choice? the ipad. will dance on my head (figuratively) for a kind word from a fellow bookfiend.
Interests	family, friends, books, music, ethnic food, old houses, cooking weird things made with spices I can’t find at the grocery store, traveling, dogs, movies, gossip blogs, amassing useless information, antebellum history, things that make me laugh so loud I should be embarrassed (but I’m not)
Favorite Movies	depends on the day. i love epic movies (like gladiator or the lotr trilogy), but i also enjoy some chick flicks, indie films, foreign films, and the occasional gorefest. love any bbc production of a jane austen novel.
Favorite Music	explosions in the sky, natacha atlas, stravinsky, dvorak, mahler, youssou n'dour, akon, van morrison, the temper trap, three 6 mafia, radiohead, nine inch nails, kings of leon, sarah vaughan, ravi shankar, tiesto, yves laroc, tool, metallica, biggie . . . i could probably go on forever. 'eclectic' is the name of the game.
Favorite Books	Frankenstein, Gone With the Wind, North and South, The Handmaid’s Tale, Invisible Man, short stories by Kafka, Walden’s Pond, Nightwood, One Hundred Years of Solitude, The Alchemist, The Fifth Sacred Thing, The Count of Monte Cristo, God of Small Things, Possession, Helter Skelter, Anne Rice’s Vampire Chronicles, The Memoirs of Cleopatra, The Outlander Series, Bridget Jones’ Diary, Harry Potter, Twilight, The Kite Runner, The Mathnawi, poetry by e. e. cummings, this is impossible to continue – I know I will be unable to choose a favorite child when the time comes.
